JOSEPH "JOE" ISAAC PEACHEY, JR.

Joseph Isaac Peachey Jr. (Joe) of Cuthbert passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, in his home surrounded by his family. Born on February 23, 1942, in Belleville PA, he was the son of Joseph Isaac Sr. and Annie (Peight) Peachey. He married Susan J (Spicher) on August 20, 1967. They shared a loving marriage of almost 59 years. Joe was a lifelong dairy farmer in Randolph County GA. He was a faithful member of Faith Mennonite Mision in Cuthbert, GA. He served with CAM on disaster relief missions to Indonesia, Haiti, Romania, Ukraine, and also on a mission trip to Jamaica.

He is survived by his wife and five children: Mark A. (Marlene), of Doerun, Ga, Michael J. (Cherie) Peachey of Dawson, GA, Timothy W. (Char) of Shellman, GA, Karen L. (Martin) Hostetler of Gap, PA, Matthew J. of Cuthbert, GA, 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He also has six surviving siblings, Fannie (Korie), Rachel Swarey, Josiah (Annie), Daniel (Leona), Samuel (Emma) and Mary (Crist) all of PA. Two sisters-in-law Anna and Barbara of PA. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Aaron and Shem of PA. and a brother-in-law Crist Swarey of PA.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 10:30 A.M at Shellman Methodist Church 79 Park Avenue, Shellman, GA 39886. Following the service burial will be at Trinity Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, July 17, 5-8 PM at Faith Mennonite Mission 1678 Hwy 82 East, Cuthbert, GA. 39840.
