Hubert Lamar Cowart, Jr., 70, of Shellman, GA passed away on Friday, August 16, 2024, in the Willson Hospice House in Albany. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024, in the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jim Eubanks officiating.

Lamar was born on September 30, 1953, in Cuthbert, GA the son of the late Hubert Lamar Cowart, Sr. and the late Louise Kelley Settles. He was a graduate of Calhoun County High School, was a retired Farmer and a member of Bethlehem Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jessica Cowart Mercer.

Survivors include a daughter, Khrista Cowart of Shellman, a son, Keith (Crystal) Cowart of Shellman, a brother, Danny (Donna) Cowart of Cuthbert and 2 grandchildren, Brody Cowart and Brantley Cowart.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
