Lester John Hershberger, 92, of Cuthbert passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 in the Joe Anne Burgin Nursing Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Trinity United Methodist Church with Lee Hoover officiating.

Mr. Hershberger was born on February 14, 1925 in Applecreek, OH the son of the late John and Sarah Schlabach Hershberger. He was a retired painter and a member of the Faith Mennonite Mission. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife; Jean Martin Hershberger.

Survivors include 2 daughters; Dawn Hershberger of Germany and Shirley H. Reese of Cuthbert, 3 sons; Paul Hershberger of Plain City, OH, David Hershberger and Mark Hershberger both of Cuthbert, 4 sisters; Betty Beachy of Sarasota, Mary Stutzman of Millersburg, OH, Ada Mae Weaver and Erma Gieser both of Kidron, OH, a brother; Nevin Hershberger of Dundee, OH, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Faith Mennonite Mission at 220 DeVane Rd. Cuthbert, GA 39840 or to the New Life Community Outreach at 384 Trinity Church Rd, Cuthbert, GA 39840.
