Linda Gayle Smith Floyd, 80, of Albany, GA passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at her home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Edison with Rev. Daniel McFather officiating.

Mrs. Floyd was born on September 23, 1943, in Albany, GA the daughter of the late James Augustus Smith and the late Ernestine Beckham Smith. She was a graduate of Calhoun County High School and Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA. She was a former Property Manager and elementary school teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Toni Griffin.

Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Newton Floyd, Jr. of Albany and 2 sisters, Jan Smith (Jimmy) Allen of Cuthbert and Kim Smith of Edison.
