Lucille Beard Rice, 92 of Shellman passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home. A private (family only) graveside will be conducted in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Guy Beard officiating.

Lucille was born on December 10, 1927 in Calhoun County the daughter of the late Wade and Nannie Maude Avera Beard. She was a homemaker and a retired beautician. She loved her family and enjoyed reading her bible and quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James A. (Buddy) Rice, a son, William Wayne Rice, 3 brothers and a sister.

Survivors include a son, Jimmy (Brenda) Wade Rice of Cuthbert, 7 grandchildren, Ryan Rice, Mandy Rice Bennett, Todd Rice, Wayne Rice, Jr., Jalee (Nate) Rice Wilson, Gary (Jenn) Rice and Tabatha (Dale) Rice Boyett, 12 great granddaughters, 2 great grandsons and a sister, Mary Beard.
