Martha Faye Aycock Smith, 82, of Carnegie, GA died on Monday, May 17, 2021 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 21, 2021 in the Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Edison with Rev. Brad Savage officiating.

Martha was born on April 13, 1939 in Shellman, GA the daughter of the late Oscar Taylor and Rubie Glasscock Aycock. She was a substitute teacher for the Baker County Elementary School in Macclenny, FL. She earned a bachelor's degree in Home Economics and was a member of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Oscar Ryan Aycock and Henry Aycock.

Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" Thomas Smith, Jr. of Carnegie, a daughter, Evelyn Southall of Carnegie, a son, Steven Ray (Maria) Smith of Indialantic, FL and 2 grandsons, Gustav Ray Smith and Christopher Adam (Evie) Southall.
