Mary Sue Sinquefield Barr, 92, of Cuthbert died peacefully on Sunday, October 04, 2015 in the Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the East View Cemetery with Rev. Ben Crowdis officiating.

Mrs. Barr was born on January 28, 1923 the daughter of the late John Henry Singuefield and Clyde Melton Singuefield. She was probably best known for her ability to turn out a truly delectable Southern meal, which she did promptly at 12:00 noon for more than six decades. She was a member of the Cuthbert First Baptist Church and Winsome Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 67 years, Norman Thomas Barr and a brother, James Sinquefield.

Survivors include a daughter, Dottie (Jim) Friese of Cuthbert, a son Tommy (Stella) Barr of Cuthbert, 6 granddaughters, Dr. Sidney (Dr. Larry Sperling) Barr, Jennifer (Harris) DeVane, Kelli (David) Bailey, Ashley (Brice) Herrin, Judith (Brad) Carter and Mackenzie Barr, 10 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Don (Mimi) Sinquefield, Wheatley Sinquefield and John Sinquefield, a sister, Virginia (Jimmy) Joyner and a sister-in-law, Barbara (Ernie) Sinquefield Cannington.

The family will receive friends on Monday at Lunsford Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
