MARY SUE SHEFFIELD

Mary Sue Sheffield, age 85, of Ocilla, GA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at her home. She was born on December 24, 1940, the daughter of the late Mr. George Clark Griffin and the late Mrs. LouAnnie Griffin.

Her survivors include: One Daughter; Gayle Cohen of Lax, GA, One Son; Robert (Pamela) Sheffield of Locust Grove, GA, Four Grandchildren; Jamie Strickland, Dustin (Leigh Anne) Brown, Kyle (Katelyn) Sheffield, and McKensi (Andy) Lee, Five Great-Grandchildren; Adam Brown, Hunter Brown, Kaison Sheffield, Dakota Lee, and Kolton Sheffield. She was preceded in death by: Her beloved husband; Robert Sheffield, Father; George Clark Griffin, Mother; LouAnnie Griffin, Four Sisters, and Two Brothers.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home in Douglas, GA, at 2;00PM, with Rev. Phil Thomas officiating, Interment will commence on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery near Ft. Gaines, GA, at 2:00PM.

Active pallbearers will include: Dustin Brown, Kyle Sheffield, and Adam Brown.

Sims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Douglas and Lunsford Funeral Home will be serving the family at the interment.
