Mavis Beard Fulford, 91, of Cuthbert died Friday, November 15, 2013 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted in East View Cemetery at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 17, 2013 with Rev. Ben Crowdis officiating.

Mavis was born on August 18, 1922 in Morgan, GA. the daughter of the late Willie Wade and Nannie Maude Avera Beard. She was a retired secretary at Patterson Hospital, retired secretary for the Randolph County School System, a charter member and Past President of the Cuthbert Pilot Club, a charter member of the Camellia Garden Club and a member of the Cuthbert First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey (Jeff) Fulford.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Fulford of Cuthbert, a grandson, Brandon Fulford of Shellman, two sisters, Lucille B. Rice of Shellman and Mary B. Barfield of Rome and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Lunsford Funeral Home on Saturday, November 16th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
