Minnie Ruth Peel Wilkerson

Minnie Ruth Peel Wilkerson 80 of Cuthbert passed away Thursday Jan 14, 2016 at Southwest Ga Regional Medical Center in Cuthbert. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday Jan. 16, 2016 at the Carnegie Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Ben Crowdis officiating.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born Mar. 2, 1935 in Carnegie, Ga. the daughter of the late John Allen and Lillian McDaniel Peel.  She was a graduate of the Edison High School and was a retired Cashier for the Colonial Store in Cuthbert, and was a member of the first Baptist Church of Cuthbert.

Survivors include two daughters Kim Woodward (Bobby) of Cuthbert, Ga .and Kay Thompson of Albany, Ga.; a brother Douglas Peel of Bainbridge; 4 Grandchildren John Oliver (Monica), Anna Lanham, Jesse Thompson (Mary Elizabeth) and Amy Griffin (Jake). 4 Great Grandchildren; Natalie and Harper Oliver, Jack and Jane Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Wilkerson; and a loving son-in-law Jack Thompson, and 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be 5:30-7:30 PM Friday Jan. 15, 2016 at Lunsford Funeral Home
