John Nathan Rooks, 84, of Morris passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Union United Methodist Church with Rev. Dwight Dunn officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Rooks was born on April 28, 1934 in Morris, GA the son of the late John Henry and Annie Belle Teele Rooks. He was a Korean Army Veteran, retired farmer, employed by the Randolph Co. Highway Department, a member of the Masons and was a member of the Union United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Martha Jean Peak Rooks of Morris, GA, a son, Carl (Lisa) Rooks of Cumming, GA and 2 granddaughters, Megan Rooks and Jessica Rooks.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Union United Methodist Church 1350 Union Church Rd. Morris, GA 39867 or to Randolph Cares P. O. Box 477 Cuthbert, GA 39840.
