Norene Frances Kitchens Blackburn, 102 of Coleman, GA passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in the Willowood Personal Care Home in Edison. Funerals services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in the Vilulah Baptist Church.

Mrs. Blackburn was born on January 13, 1917 in Jones County, GA the daughter of the late Arthur Ellis and Thurza Harrison Kitchens. She was a retired school teacher with the Clay Co. School System where she taught business education for 30 years and was a member of the Vilulah Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Herbert Blackburn, her twin sister, Lorene Noonan, her sister, Miriam Thomason and her 3 brothers, Ellis Kitchens, Jr., Kerry Kitchens and Neil Kitchens.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Blackburn of Statesboro, a sister-in-law, Jackie Thomas of Bishop, GA, a number of nieces and nephews along with her special friends, the Willowood Caregivers.

In Lieu of flowers please make memorials to the Vilulah Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in care of Billie Bruner 30340 US Highway 27 S. Coleman, GA 39836. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service with refreshments being served.
