Owen Edward  "Ed" Jackson, 85 of Shellman died January 8, 2014 at Broadview Assisted Living in Tallahassee, FL. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 11th at 11:00 AM in East View Cemetery in Shellman with Rev. Olin Johnson officiating.

Mr. Jackson was born May 24, 1928 in Edison, GA. the son of the late James Owen Edward Jackson and Donilu Paul Jackson. He was a retired chemical salesman for IMC and a member of the First Baptist Church of Shellman. Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Al Jackson, a brother, Mack Jackson and a sister, Elinor Jackson.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Annette Rigsby Jackson of Shellman, two daughters, Karen J. (Dick) Matthiesen of Tavares, FL. and Lauren J. (Ray) Geiger of Tallahassee, FL., a daughter-in-law, Debbie Jackson of Shellman, a sister, Vivian Short of Tacoma, Washington, three grandchildren, Joanna Jackson (Chase) Floyd, Ward Jackson and Jackson Geiger and two great grandchildren, Marley Jo Floyd and Beecher Floyd.

Memorials may be made to the Brotherhood of The Shellman First Baptist Church at P. O. Box 205 Shellman, GA. 39886 or to Big Bend Hospice at 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, FL. 32308-5428. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Curry Funeral Home.
