Polly Wilkerson Smith Schramm, 92 passed away Saturday, Mar. 16, 2019 at the Pheobe Sumter Medical Center in Americus. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Monday, Mar. 18, 2019 in the Carnegie Baptist Church with interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Shannon Morris and Rev. Morris Monkus will officiate.

Mrs. Schramm was born on Dec. 13, 1926 in Edison the daughter of the late George and Cullie Turner Wilkerson. She was a Home Maker and a member of the Dawson First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Rucker Smith and Marvin E. Schramm.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Kay (Howard) Peavy of Shellman, a son, James Rucker (Kaye) Smith of Dawson, a sister, Mackie Lee Beard of Cuthbert, a brother, James Wilkerson of Moye , 6 grandchildren, Cynthia Kay Smith, Lisa Ann Brazel, Jason Peavy, Jeremy Peavy, Angie Smith-Fore and Chad Smith and 11 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Rucker Smith's residence at 362 Cinderella Lane Dawson and on Monday from 2:00 PM until funeral time in the Carnegie Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Carnegie Baptist Church at 283 Eleven Bridges Rd. Cuthbert, GA 39840 and the Rehoboth Baptist Church in care of Sam Bentley P. O. Box 291 Shellman, GA 39886.
