REBA HORTENSE LEDDEN MILLIRON

SHELLMAN, GA

Reba Hortense Ledden Milliron, 86, of Shellman, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Reba was born on March 4, 1940, in Cuthbert, Georgia, to Dennis H. Ledden and Alice Hortense Price Ledden. She was a graduate of Cuthbert High School. Reba married the love of her life, Lee Sheridan Milliron, in June 1959, and they had two children: Paula Sue Milliron and Dennis Lee Milliron.

Reba and Lee settled in Arlington, Georgia, in the late 80s, where they made life-long friends and were long-standing members of the Arlington Methodist Church. Reba retired as personnel director from Kellwood Company in Cuthbert, and in retirement, she kept and cared for children whom she loved as her own. The family moved to Shellman in 2003, where she and Lee enjoyed their time in the country together before his passing in December 2004. Reba dedicated her life to caring for her daughter, Paula - they went everywhere together. She also loved canning and making jelly and pecan pies to give to family and friends, reading, dancing (or clogging in her younger years), tending to her flower beds, and hosting gatherings with those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lee; her daughter, Paula; a sister, Ruby Ledden Lassiter; and three brothers, Rufus Ledden, Robert Ledden, and Ralph Ledden.

She is survived by her son, Dennis L. Milliron, of Shellman; granddaughter, Courtney Milliron Heath (Collin); great-grandson, Miles Heath, all of Dawson; sister, Rebecca Ledden Steadman, of Shellman; two brothers, Royce (Elaine) Ledden of Leesburg and Ronald Ledden of Cumming; and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to caregivers Shirley Jones and Stormy Weathersby for their kindness, support, and dedication to Reba in her final days.

Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery near Shellman with Rev. Clint Yelverton officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 AM until funeral time at the cemetery. A reception to share memories and refreshments will be held at Reba’s House immediately following the service.
