Reba Farris Yoakum, 89, of Cuthbert died February 4, 2013 at Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home in Cuthbert. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Elder Ross Plowden officiating.

Mrs. Yoakum was born June 27, 1923 in Alcorn County, Mississippi, daughter of the late Robert A. and Nettie Lancaster Farris. She was the youngest of seven children, a life-long Primitive Baptist and since 1959, a member of Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church near Edison, Ga. She was preceded in death by her parents, her six siblings, her husband; J. C. Yoakum, and her daughter; Bobbie Ruth George.

Survivors include her daughter; Kathy Farmer of Juliette, two sons; Jeff Yoakum of Cedartown and Wendell Yoakum of Cuthbert, son-in-law; Charles George of Booneville, MS., eight grandchildren and ten Great Grandchildren.
