Royce Merritt Peavy, 81, of Cuthbert, GA passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, in the Joe Anne Burgin Nursing Home.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in the Rehoboth Baptist Church Cemetery near Shellman with Dr. Ben McFather officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until funeral time in the cemetery.

Royce was born on October 9, 1942, in Shellman, GA the daughter of the late Roy Whaley Merritt and the late Catherine Hammack Merritt. She was a graduate of the Shellman High School, retired as a bank teller for the First State Bank of Randolph County and was a member of the Cuthbert Faith Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents and 3 sisters, Jessica Ann Paul, Linda "Hoot" Preston and Dee Dee Crozier.

Survivors include her sons, Keith (Melissa) Peavy of Cuthbert and Sam (Christi) Peavy, III of Cordele, a sister, Gloria Merritt Burnett of Cuthbert and 2 grandchildren.
