Ruby Hollingsworth Walton, 90, of Cuthbert passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Joe-Anne Burgin Nursing Home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 7, 2015 in Eastview Cemetery with Gerald Casey officiating.

Mrs. Walton was born in Morris, GA. on February 28, 1925 the daughter of the late James and Bessie McCook Hollingsworth. Mrs. Walton was a police dispatcher for the Cuthbert Police Department for many years and had a two years business degree. She was a member of the Union United Methodist Church near Morris, GA. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Walton and a grandson, Brian Coleman.

Survivors include a son, Ethan Walton and his wife Amy of Cuthbert, a sister Donie Bell McAllister and her husband John of Cuthbert, three grandchildren, Ethan Walton, Jr., Jared McDonald and Walt Ingram and two great grandchildren, David Ingram and Brian Coleman, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
