Rushabelle Engram Brooks, 87, of Edison died Friday July 26, 2013 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Salem Baptist Church near Edison with interment to follow in the church cemetery and Rev. Jackie Williams officiating.

Mrs. Brooks was born in Cuthbert on November 28, 1925 the daughter of the late Taylor C. Engram and Rosa Page Engram. She was a high school graduate, a seamstress and a member of the Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years; James Robert (JR) Brooks of Edison, a son; Jack R Brooks and his wife Mary of Edison, a daughter; Joan Brooks Ragan and her husband Thomas of Edison, a brother; Roy Engram of Columbus, two sisters; Betty Lumpkin and Paralee Pate both of Cuthbert, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Memorial may be made to the Salem Baptist Church P. O. Box 477 Edison, Ga. 39846. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
