Sandra Hayes Thompson, 79, of Shellman, GA passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in the chapel of Lunsford Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Ziglar and Sally Whatley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Sandra was born on February 7, 1945, in Columbus, GA the daughter of the late Earl Vinson Hayes and the late Cleo Morris Hayes. She was a longtime owner and operator of Hayes Furniture store, a retired secretary for the Georgia State Patrol Post 39 in Cuthbert and a member of the Cuthbert First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas Eugene Thompson.

Survivors include her daughter, Tori (Kevin) Harris of Shellman, son, Tony (Jennifer) Thompson of Shellman, a granddaughter, Madison Harris of Shellman and 2 grandsons, Brayden Harris of Shellman and Matt Thompson of Albany.
