Sara Turner Curry, 93, of Shellman passed away on Monday, April 29, 2019 at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Shellman East View Cemetery with Rev. Olin Johnson officiating.

Mrs. Curry was born on May 30, 1925 in Atlanta the daughter of the late Harry Turner and Jessie  Turner Christopher. She was the retired owner of the Curry Hardware Co. and the Curry Funeral Home in Shellman. She was a High School graduate, attended Mercer University and was a member of the Shellman First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles Lemuel Curry, and a grandson, Michael Joseph Curry.

Survivors include 2 sons, James  "Jim" (Meme) Martin Curry II of St. Simons, GA and Robert "Bob" Jay  (Julie) Curry of Jasper, GA and 4 grandchildren, Jenny Wainwright, Sally Kodaras, Jay Curry and Matthew Curry.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Lunsford Funeral Home.
