Steve Phillips Reid, 78, of Dawson, GA passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024, in the St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, in the Chickasawhatchee Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawson with Rev. Dan Elkins officiating.

Mr. Reid was born on March 1, 1946, in Americus, GA the son of the late H. H. Reid and the late Rachel Phillips Reid. He attended Albany Tech after graduating from Terrell County High School. He retired from GTE Telephone Company, was the owner and operator of Reid Plumbing and Electrical of Dawson, and was a member of the Dawson First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Remona McPherson Reid.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Kasey (Ed) Hall of Monticello, GA and Ryann Hancock of Dawson, a sister, Joyce (Larry) Jones of Columbus, a grandson, Braxton Reid Hancock, a niece, Lisa (Dave) Funston, and a nephew, Sam Jones.
