Susan Gleaton Thompson, 82, of Coleman, GA died on Monday, January 23, 2023, in Phoebe Putney Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 27, 2023, in the Arlington Baptist Church with Drew Taylor and Bill Murdock officiating and interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 AM until funeral time in the church.

Mrs. Thompson was born on February 23, 1940, in Edison, GA the daughter of the late Frederick Francis and Emma Lavern Griffin Gleaton. She was a graduate of Arlington High School and attended Georgia Southwestern and Tift College. She was a member of the Arlington Baptist Church and a proud Pentecostal. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Patrick "Sonny" Henry Thompson, III and brother, Griffin Gleaton.

Survivors include her 4 daughters, Tamara (Scott) Taylor of Coleman, Valerie Dunning of Americus, Amye (Bill) Murdock of Coleman and Suzette (Eric) Taylor of Eufaula, AL, a sister, Gail (David) Bell of Dawson, a brother, Freddie (Janet) Gleaton of Ft. Gaines 2 sisters-in-law, Bobbie Gleaton of Blakely and Linda (Jimmy) Kolbie of Pelham, grandchildren, Ashley (Jay) Hathorn, Patrick Dunning, Tyler Dunning, Drew (Jessica) Taylor, Will Murdock, Brooke Taylor, Kelly (Tyler) Rice, Kathryn (Dalton) Todd, Alana Taylor, Grayson Middleton and Gleaton Middleton, great grandchildren, Mac Hathorn, Lleyton Dunning, Jerry Dunning, Ella Todd, Emma Todd, Sarah Dunning, Josie Taylor, Sunnie Claire Rice and Tate Todd and several nieces and nephews.
