Sylvia Laurie Stewart Ragan, 69, of Shellman, GA passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2023, in Shellman Eastview Cemetery with Rev. Lee Wright officiating.

Sylvia was born on March 23, 1954, in Albany, GA the daughter of the late France Manry Stewart, Sr. and the late Pauline Bower Stewart. She was a graduate of Shellman Randolph Southern High School and a secretary for Salters Veterinary Hospital in Dawson. She was a member of the Shellman Baptist where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was active in the Women on Mission's.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Ragan of Shellman, 2 Daughters, Laurie (Kevin) Prater of Warner Robins, GA and Michelle (Jason) Worthy of Edison, GA, son, Charles Eugene "C. J." Ragan, Jr. of Griffin, GA, stepson, Charles Matthew Ragan of Edison, GA, brother, F. M. "Sonny" Stewart, Jr. of Albany, 5 grandchildren, Chasity Lynn (Josh) Grantham, Dylan Ray Brown, Brayden Prater, Nicholas Jason Worthy and Marvin Ross Worthy and great grandson, James Thomas Grantham.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
