Theresa Peavy Lovett, 79, of Cuthbert, GA passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at her residence, Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 19, 2016 at the Mars Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Edison with Rev. David McFather officiating.

Mrs. Lovett was born on May 23, 1937 in Cuthbert the daughter of the late Aubrey Peavy and the late Esther Peak Peavy. She taught Kindergarten at Randolph Southern School for many years, was a member of the Women's Cattle Association, Azalea Garden Club and the Damascus Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bobby Lovett and a son, Robin Heath Lovett.

Survivors include a daughter; Leisa L. Peavy and husband David, two sons; Robert C. "Bob" Lovett and wife Lesley and Scotty G. Lovett and wife Becky, two sisters; Linda Lang and husband Les and Wynelle Weiss and husband Don all of Cuthbert, three grandchildren; Kelley Presley and husband Brian, Graham Lovett and Shay Heleski and husband Jared, nephews; Jeff Weiss, Trevor Weiss and Steven Lang and wife Jean and great nieces and nephew; Shelby Weiss, Clint Weiss and Ashleigh Lang.

Memorials may be made to the Damascus Baptist Church or the GA Baptist Children's Home. The family will receive friends on Saturday at Lunsford Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
