Thomas R. Herndon, 67, of Sylvester passed away at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton on May 28, 2014. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday May 31, 2014 in the County Line Cemetery in Stewart County.

Mr. Herndon was born May 20, 1947 in Florida the son of the late Charles O'Kelley and Lottie Roland Herndon. He was a retired crane operator for St. Regis Paper Co., a Baptist and a Navy Veteran of Vietnam.

Survivors include a son, Thomas O'Kelley Herndon of Sylvester, two daughters, Larisa Herndon Phillips of Arabi and Kristina Herndon Kennedy of Cuthbert and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday May 31, 2014 from 9:00 until 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
