Thomas Eugene (Pigg) Thompson

Thomas Eugene (Pigg) Thompson, 75, of Shellman, Ga. passed away Monday December 15, 2014 at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in the East View Cemetery in Shellman with Rev. Ben Crowdis officiating.

Mr. Thompson was born on September 25, 1939 in Shellman, Ga the son of the late Roy Fenious and Mattie Ethel Swords Thompson. He was a graduate of Shellman High School, and served as Mayor  Pro-Tem for many years for the city of Shellman and  was a former member of the Shellman City Council, a recent member of the Cuthbert First Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He served as a Baliff for the late Sheriff Gary Yocham, and served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, of 47 years  Sandra H. Thompson of Shellman, a son Tony (Amy) Thompson of Cuthbert, a daughter, Tori (Kevin) Harris of Shellman, a brother, Jimmy (Alice) Thompson of Shellman and 3 grandchildren, Matt Thompson, Madison Harris and Brayden Harris. 1 Niece and 1 Nephew.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cuthbert First Baptist Church, Shellman First Baptist Church or Albany Community Hospice.
