THOMAS "ROCKY" ALBERT MOUNTAIN

Thomas “Rocky” Albert Mountain, 67, of Ft. Gaines, GA passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at his residence. The family will conduct memorial services at a later time.

Rocky was born on October 3, 1958, in Bellaire, OH the son of the late Thomas Albert Mountain, Sr. and the Late Goldie Violet Shubat Mountain. He was a graduate of Stranahan High School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and was a member and Vice-Chairman of the Board of the Wesley Chapel of Zetto Church near Ft. Gaines. Rocky retired as the Manager of the Broward County Water and Sewer Department in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kathleen Mountain and a sister, Nancy Mountain.

He enjoyed working on the various farms in the community and will be missed by his numerous friends in Florida and Georgia. He was very involved with the community; helping in elections, parades and anything asked of him. He had many “adopted” grandchildren who will miss him dearly. “GO BAMA”.

Survivors include his wife, Penny Lee Carls Mountain of Ft. Gaines, 2 sisters, Toni (Frank) Juskey of Apopka, FL and Maureen Vekasy of Denver, CO and 2 nieces, Michelle Juskey and Mary Vekasy and nephew, Mathew Juskey.
