William Wayne Rice, 67, of Shellman passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016 in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery near Shellman with Rev. Ben Crowdis officiating.

Wayne was born on November 21, 1948 in Cuthbert the son of the late James A. (Buddy) Rice and Lucile Beard Rice. He was a retired Farm Manager and a member of the Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Lucile Beard Rice of Shellman, 2 daughters, Mandy Rice Bennett of Shellman and Tabatha Rice (Dale) Boyett of Cuthbert, 2 sons, William Wayne Rice, Jr. of Springvale and Alva Gary (Jennifer) Rice of Dawson, a brother, Jimmy (Brenda) Rice of Cuthbert and 6 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
