William (Bill) David Powers, 83, of Shellman, Ga. passed away September 7, 2014 in Columbus Specialty Hospital in Columbus. Funeral services will be conducted at a later time.

Mr. Powers was born in Lumpkin, Ga. on May 20, 1931 the son of the late William Carter Powers and Mary Ella Yelverton Powers. He was a member of the Shellman Assembly of God and was retired from the Golden Peanut Co. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Walter Powers.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Powers of Shellman, 2 sons, David Powers of Dawson and Charles Powers of Columbus, 6 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
