William Ed "HOTDOG" House, 91, of Lumpkin died Monday Jan. 23, 2023, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 3:00 PM Tuesday Jan. 24, 2023, at Westley Chapel Cemetery in Stewart County with the Rev. Robert Orr officiating.
Mr. House was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Lumpkin, GA the son of the late Ed (Doc) and Willie Kate "Dubie" Cherry House. He was a graduate of Lumpkin High School and was of the Methodist faith. He was retired from the City of Lumpkin after working with the Lumpkin Police Department and the Sanitation Department for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy Owen House, a son, Tom House, a great-grandson, Chandler Tyson and a son-in-law, Larry Ledford.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Jane Ledford of Richland and Judy Shirling (Charles) of Lumpkin; 2 sons, Bill House (Mitzi) and Owen House both of Lumpkin, sister, Sue Harrison of Phenix City AL, Grandchildren, Jessica Hunter, Dorothy Jo Tyson (Bill), Will House (Cassie), Abbie Lee Southerland (Taylor); Great Grandchildren, Laney Kate Hunter, Bentley Hunter, Noah Tyson, Levi Tyson and Brook Southerland
