WILLIAM JODY MORRIS

William Jody Morris, 57, of Edison, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, in the Calhoun County Nursing Home. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2026, in the Shellman Eastview Cemetery with Chris Weathersby officiating.

Jody was born on December 7, 1968, in Dawson, GA the son of the late John Arthur Morris, Sr. and the late Frances Leona Holley Morris. He was a graduate of Randolph Clay High School and a retired welder for Peerless manufacturing and Merritt Welding. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Tonya Avery.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jessie Neil (Morgan) Morris of GA and Keith Latner Morris of Leesburg, 2 sisters, Denise “Nesie” (Richard) Kilby of Parrott, Debroah Cissy Eubanks of Shellman, a brother, John Arthur Morris, Jr. of Dothan, AL, 3 grandchildren, Thomas Dalton Latner, Amandalin Morris and Jessie Morris, and bonus brothers, Larry Paul and Ricky Paul.

My dearest brother, you’ll always be in our hearts and forever loved and missed. Rest in peace my dearest brother (We will miss your tall tales.)
