Evelyn Brazeal Turner, 89, of Cuthbert died Saturday Dec. 31, 2016 at Jo-Anne Burgin Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday Jan. 2, 2017 at Lunsford Funeral Home with the Rev. Hall Grimmett officiating.

Mrs. Turner was born in Parrott Feb. 25, 1927 the daughter of the late James A. and Lydia Wallace Brazeal. Mrs. Turner was a high school graduate and completed  2 years at Andrew College.  She was a retired sales clerk for Davis Toy Store, Hunts Drug store, and also worked with Day Company Plywood Co.  She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents James A. and Lydia Brazeal, her husband G.P. Turner, a son John Aaron Brown, a sister Kathrine Lanier, 3 brothers Wilmer Brazeal, Ellis Brazeal and James Brazeal.

The family will receive friends Monday Jan. 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM until service time at the Lunsford Funeral Home.
