Gaines Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Wade Spooner officiating. There will be a Private interment following the services at New Park cemetery.

James Loyd Rice III was born in Athens, Georgia to James Lloyd Rice II and Catherine (Cook) Rice on July, 27, 1995. “Jimmy” as he was called by most, or fondly known as “Bub” to his sisters, attended Oconee County High School in Watkinsville, Georgia, followed by the pursuit of a higher education at Wallace Community College In Eufaula, Alabama, Athens Tech in Athens Ga. and Daytona State College in Daytona FL. As an avid baseball pitcher in high school, Jimmy’s youthful aspirations were to develop his talent, dream big, and make his way to Major Leagues. From toddler to adult, he was drawn to the outdoors spending much of his free time riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, and playing sports. His unassuming attitude love for his family and his presence will be dearly missed.

Jimmy is survived by his parents James Loyd Rice II of Daytona, Florida and Catherine (Cook) Rice of Fort Gaines, Georgia; as well as his sisters Margot (Brantley) McMinn of Saint Simons Island, Georgia, Rebecca (Shannon) Wilkes of Watkinsville, Georgia, and Rachael (Jimmy Thompson) Skipper of Blakely, Georgia. He also leaves his grandparents, Brady and Bess Allen of Jacksonville FL., and his paternal grandfather James Lloyd Rice I of St. Augustine, Florida, aunts, uncles and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Claude and Sue Cook of Fort Gaines, Georgia.

Pallbearers include John Brown, Shannon Wilkes, Brantley McMinn, Morris Cook, Jimmy Thompson, and Rachael Skipper
