JIM MILNER

James “Jim” Byrd Milner, 79, of Shellman, GA passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 6, 2023, at the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery with Leamon Foxworth officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until funeral time in the cemetery.

Jim was born on September 10, 1944, in Calhoun County, GA the son of the late Emory Sharkey and Carol Melton Milner. He was a self-employed Carpenter as well as a Blacksmith and a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Rodney Milner and 2 brothers, Emory “Noot” Milner and Rex Milner.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Turner Milner of Shellman, a daughter, Taryn Milner (Chad) Roberson, of Shellman, a son, Christophor Milner of Fayetteville, GA, a sister, Patsy Milner Brown of Shellman, a brother, Dale (Judy) Milner of Albany, 3 grandchildren, Nathan, Jordan and Rachel, 4 great grandchildren, a bonus daughter, Trish Milner Cook and special friend, Patricia Rodgers.
