Marvin Peak, 88, of Cuthbert passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 2:00 PM in Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David McFather officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 on Monday in the Damascus Baptist Church.

Marvin was born on August 30, 1934, in Tallahassee, FL the son of the late Theodore Benjamin and Leonora Elsie Kinard Peak. He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1955 until 1958, a graduate of Cuthbert High School, a member of Damascus Baptist Church and retired from H & H hardware in Cuthbert. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Sybil Ham Peak.

Survivors include his daughter, Vicki Lynn (Steve) Gordon of Americus, son Mike Alan (Lisa) Peak of Shellman, brother, Russell B. (Rusty) Peak of Cuthbert, 4 grandchildren, Shannon (Rusty) Chapman, Richard (Lydia) Gordon, Gary (Christine) Gordon, Andy (Kristen) Gordon, a step granddaughter, Kasey Brooker and 7 great grandchildren, Karley, Kaitlyn, Jackson, Julian, Grayson, Aniston and Mara.
