Mildred Irene Holbrook Otto, 74, of Lumpkin, GA passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2022, in the Northside Cemetery in Lumpkin with Rev. Raymond Smith officiating.
Mrs. Otto was born on December 21, 1947, in Charles, GA the daughter of the late Burl and Ruby Marrietta Kennedy Holbrook. Mildred loved to cook and spend time with her family. She enjoyed her weekly Sunday lunches with her children and grandchildren. Mildred cared for all her grandchildren while working along-side her son, Don at Bobby’s Body Shop for the majority of her life. She was a big supporter of her children and grandchildren as she traveled to all of their school and sporting events. She was a well know racing supporter for her son, Don during his racing career. She never missed a Holbrook gathering or reunion. Caring for and spending time with family was the main focus of Mildred’s life.
She was a member of the Methodist Faith and a graduate of Webster County High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, Dorothy Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson and Doris Watford and 2 brothers, Wiley Holbrook and Glenn Holbrook.
Survivors include a daughter, Tina (Russell) Sellers of Lumpkin, a son, Don (Denise) Otto of Lumpkin, 3 sisters, Geraldine (Gordon) Moncus of Phenix City, AL, Faye (Charlie) Smith of Americus and Linda Norris of Leesburg, 2 brothers, Stoney (Edith) Holbrook and Jack (Diane) Holbrook both of Preston and 4 grandchildren, Kyle Sellers, Abbie Otto, Kory Sellers and Ashton Otto.
