PEGGY LONG GEESLIN

Peggy Lou Long Geeslin, 88, of Lumpkin, GA passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 in the Piedmont Columbus Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jacob Martin and Rev. Robert Orr officiating.

Mrs. Geeslin was born on September 27, 1932 in County Line Community in Stewart County the daughter of the late Bartow S. and Anne Cannington Long. She was a retired Teacher’s Aid for the Stewart County Elementary School and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lovett Edgar Geeslin, 2 daughters, Brenda Davis and Mary Ann Manning and a grandson, Eddie Geeslin.

Survivors include her daughter, Susan Geeslin Oliver of Lumpkin, 2 sons, Henry Carl (Tina) Geeslin of Ashburn and Fred (Kathy) Geeslin of Cordele, 14 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery on Monday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the Shady Grove Baptist Church 738 Lane Rd. Lumpkin, GA 31815-5220
