Mary Edrier (Polly) Holloway Seward, 61, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, November 8, 2021, at 2:00 PM at the Morris Baptist Church, Morris GA with Rev. Mike Hartley and Rev. Raymond Smith officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 PM at the Preston City Cemetery, Preston, GA. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM until the time of service at the Church.
Polly was born on April 5, 1960, in Cuthbert, GA, to the late Rev. Edward Grier Holloway, Sr and Mary Norma Lynch Holloway and lived in the area all of her life. She was a member of Morris Baptist Church where her father pastored forty-nine years. She graduated from Greenfield Academy in 1977 and later earned her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from Columbus Technical College. She worked for Dr. Alluri Raju in Richland for many years before becoming the school nurse with the Stewart County School System and was affectionately known as Nurse Polly. She continued “nursing her children” until her health forced her to retire in 2020.
Polly is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Clay Adams. She is survived by her husband, Randy Seward of Morris, GA; three daughters, Nikki Adams Bryant (Robert) of Preston, Missi Adams of Albany, GA, and Crissi Adams Hinman (Carson) of Preston; stepdaughter, Tracie Seward Hopkins (Matthew) of Lizella GA and stepson Chris Seward (Shelly) of Gray, GA; two brothers, Grier Holloway of Richland and Matt Holloway (Anne) of Lumpkin; an aunt, Carney Misulia (Andy) of Columbus MS; grandchildren, Skyler Bryant, Lex Bryant, Addison Grimsley, Ella Clay Hinman, Hartley Hinman and CJ Hinman; step grandchildren, Ryder Seward, Fisher Hopkins and Gunner Hopkins; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family wishes to thank everyone for their showers of concerns and most especially for the prayers during her extended illness. She is now in the arms of her Savior and reunited with her ClayBoy.
