John Roger Bruner, 80, of Coleman passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in the Fort Gaines Health and Rehabilitation. Graveside Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021, in the Vilulah Baptist Church Cemetery near Coleman with Rev. David Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 until funeral time in the Vilulah Baptist Church.
Mr. Roger was born on April 26, 1941, in Calhoun Co. the son of the late John Thomas “JT” and Mary Jo Prater Bruner. After graduating high school, he graduated from Southern Tech in Atlanta. He was the founder and operator of Irrigation Sales and Service and was a member of the Vilulah Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Chambers Bruner of Coleman, daughter, Joy B. Sammons of Coleman, son, Travis (Melissa) Bruner of Coleman, sister, Celia Saunders of Grier, SC, 4 grandchildren, Aiden Bruner, Coy Bruner, Ivey Jo Bruner and Laura Sammons, a great grandchild, Ellie Sammons, nephews, Stan Saunders and Stuart (Kimberly) Saunders, great nephew, Mitchell Saunders and great niece, Cameron Saunders.
