WILLIAM HENRY AVERA, JR.

William Henry Avera, Jr., 71, of Edison, GA passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at his residence after an extended illness. Memorial services will be conducted on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at 4:00 PM in the Edison United Methodist Church with Rev. Buddy Coss officiating.

Henry was born on April 17, 1951, in Edison, GA the son of the late William Henry and Christine Sammons Avera, Sr. He was a graduate of Calhoun County High School and Spark Technical School. He was a Brick Mason, the owner and operator of Edison Tire and was Baptized at New Light Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy J. Avera of Edison, 3 daughters, Alison Avera and spouse Tracy Breslin of Bryn Mawr, PA, Wendy Gay and husband Hud of Ft. Gaines and Kylie Holley and husband Chuck of Edison, a son, Will Avera and wife Michelle of Leary, 4 sisters, Jane Clark of Eufaula, Al, Carol Cochran of Edison, Geraldine McGriff and husband John of Edison and Linda Clements of Edison and 8 grandchildren, John Michael McMurria, Ella Gay, Charles Holley, Henry Holley, Maya Avera-Breslin, Mikayla Avera-Breslin, Liam Avera and Owen Avera.
